CMS: How-to with usernames
The Scope AR team has just released an update for CMS(2.16.0). This release introduces the use of usernames to log in to the WorkLink app and Scope AR CMS. Using usernames provides multiple benefits including multiple accounts and support for SSO solutions.
This update is only a backend change and doesn't require the app to be updated. It was released earlier today and currently live.
Here are some questions/answers that will help understand this change:
- As an existing user, does it change my sign-in behavior to WorkLink or Scope AR CMS?
No, for all existing users, their emails are now usernames i.e. users can sign into the WorkLink app or Scope CMS as they would.
- As a new user, how do I create my username?
While accepting the invitation, users can create a username and password. Username must be between 3 and 50 characters, and it can not match the password. - Where do I find the username on Scope AR CMS?
The username is listed alongside the user's email on "My Profile" on Scope AR CMS. - What if I forget my username?
Users can reach out to the Company Admin or Scope AR support if they forget their username. We are working on bringing "forgot username" functionality soon. - Can I change my username or email after creating my account?
Users can not change their username after creating the account. However, users can change their email addresses. - Can I create multiple accounts with the same email?
Yes, Company Admins can create multiple accounts by choosing different usernames with the same email.
