Yes, this is possible but we do NOT recommend initiating a WorkLink call from a Laptop/Desktop because the app is not compatible with a Laptop/ Desktop's USB or inbuilt camera.
For convenience and to allow proximity to target objects, we recommend the use of mobile devices such as mobile phones/tablets or holoLens. An Expert, on the other hand can use a laptop/desktop or any of our supported devices to assist the Technician.
Note: A Technician may struggle using some of the features of the application (e.g. Annotations, recording) if the call is initiated from a Laptop/Desktop.
