WorkLink Work Instructions: Tracking
Loading Scenarios | After clicking on the Load Scenario (“WorkLink”) icon, you will see a list of projects which are available to your account. |
Alignment Mode | Alignment Mode allows you to place the AR project into your current environment. |
Advanced Tracking(ARKit, ArCore + HoloLens) |
The 3D content in the current step will be represented in your device’s field of view. As you direct your device around your surroundings, the content will follow surfaces the device detects to align the content to real-world objects. You may need to change the angle you are viewing from in order to achieve proper alignment. When you have visually confirmed that your content is aligned properly, tap (air-tap for HoloLens) the screen to lock the content in place. While in Alignment mode, it is also possible to recognize and align with an image marker if one has been assigned to an active target. The image will no longer be required after aligning |
Marker Tracking | The other way of Alignment is using an image target (alignment marker) to view work instructions in AR. The best practice for Target recognition with images is to look at the target from 15-20 cm from two different angles. |
Active Tracking | Active tracking mode continuously looks for image targets to align to even when not in Alignment mode. Use this if frequent re-alignment is needed in your use case. (This can affect performance). |
